⚖️ Your rights in the UK: there is no statutory online “cancellation button” like in Germany, but you are well protected: contracts signed online or at a distance normally come with a 14-day cooling-off period (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). To leave a mobile network while keeping your number, simply text PAC to 65075 (or STAC to give the number up) – under Ofcom’s switching rules your provider must send the code within minutes, and using it with a new provider ends your old contract. For broadband, the One Touch Switch process lets your new provider handle the cancellation for you. If you cancel by letter, send it by tracked or signed-for delivery so you have proof.
