Common questions

Why record the frame number?

The frame number is the bike’s fingerprint – it identifies exactly which bike changed hands and lets a buyer check it is not listed as stolen before paying. You will usually find it stamped under the bottom bracket or on the head tube.

What matters when the bike is an e-bike?

The battery. Note its capacity in watt-hours and roughly how many charge cycles it has done, and tick whether the charger and keys are included. The battery is the priciest wear part, and clear details now prevent a row later.

Does sold as seen cover everything?

It covers the ordinary risk of buying second-hand – not faults the seller knew about and kept quiet. Write known defects honestly into the condition field; that protects the seller as much as the buyer.

Can the buyer sign via a link?
