Why is the frame number so important?

The frame number identifies the bike uniquely – like the VIN on a car. It documents exactly which bike was sold and helps the buyer prove it was acquired lawfully. You usually find it on the frame under the bottom bracket or on the head tube.

What should I record when selling an e-bike?

The battery: its capacity in watt-hours and the approximate number of charge cycles, if known. The battery is the most expensive wear part – clear details prevent arguments later. The charger should be noted as an accessory too; there is a dedicated checkbox for it.

Does the “sold as seen” clause cover everything?

The agreement contains the usual warranty exclusion for private sales. Important: still list known defects honestly in the condition field – fraudulently concealed defects are not covered by the exclusion.

Can the buyer sign via link?
