What makes the frame number so important?

It is the one marking that identifies the bike beyond confusion – the bicycle’s chassis number, usually stamped beneath the bottom bracket or on the head tube. With it in the agreement, there is never doubt over which bike was sold, and a buyer can satisfy themselves it is not a stolen one.

Selling an e-bike – what deserves extra care?

The battery, being the costliest wearing part: capacity in watt-hours, the rough number of charge cycles, and whether charger and keys come along – all of which the agreement asks for. Precise details today are the cheap insurance against tomorrow’s argument.

How far does the as-seen clause reach?

To the ordinary risks of second-hand, and no further. A defect the seller knew of and left unmentioned is not shielded – which is why the condition field wants honesty, in both parties’ interest.
