What justifies an immediate end?

Conduct that makes carrying on unreasonable: grave breaches, repeated despite complaint. Courts set that bar high everywhere, Malta included – so the reasons field wants specifics: dates, incidents, the complaints that went before.

What is the fallback termination for?

For the day the “serious cause” is argued away. With the fallback in the same letter, the contract still dies at the next ordinary date – the worst case shrinks from “still bound” to “bound a little longer”.

Complaint first, termination second?

As a rule, yes: an ongoing contract usually wants a prior warning with a chance to put things right before the axe. Exceptions exist for the truly egregious; where in doubt, the letter should recount the warning history.

Delivery – how careful must I be?
